How to play
- Buy creatures from the five-card shop. Refresh for 2 gold, or lock the offers for the next round.
- Put creatures on your board, up to your level. Keep durable units in front and ranged units behind them.
- Collect three copies at the same star level to merge. Field different creatures of a type to activate synergies.
When to save and when to spend
Interest increases at multiples of ten: holding 20 gold gives +2; spending down to 18 leaves +1. Refresh costs 2 and buying 4 XP costs 4. Before spending, look for a completed merge, a level that opens another board slot or an active synergy. Saving is less useful when a weak board is costing too much health.

Am I playing against real people?
Quick matches contain you and seven AI opponents. The rating and statistics on this device track those local matches.
How do I evolve a creature?
Collect three copies of the same creature at the same star level. They merge automatically into one stronger creature, up to 3★.
Is this the original Kanto Tactics?
No. Kanto Tactics Arena is an independent game with original creatures. It does not share accounts, saves or rankings with the original game.
Can I play on mobile or download an APK?
You can play in your mobile browser. This version has no APK or native app; save a home-screen shortcut if your browser supports it.
How do I move a save to another device?
Open Settings and export your save as a .json file. On the other device, open Settings → Import save and select that file. There is no automatic cross-device sync.
Before you start
For solo strategy with original creatures: learn in the three-round tutorial, try the campaign with untimed preparation, or face seven AI rivals in a quick match. Pause and continue in this browser when you need a break.
There is no online PvP, friend lobby, global leaderboard or cloud sync. Rank and progress are local. Export your save in Settings before changing devices or clearing browser data. Offline play is not guaranteed.
